Mr. Inderjit singh Sahni's vision of this scenario and the eminent need for setting up a platform which could meet the needs of apparel manufactures and exporters of India in particular and South East Asia in general, led to setting up of Garment Technology Expo in 2001, some four years ahead of the new era free from Quantitative Restrictions, which started from Ist January 2005.

Its sole purpose was to make available at a single point the latest technology available from all parts of the world. The response from the Garment Manufacturing and Exporting Industry was as superb was expected. The vision was just right.

Ably assisted by his son Mr. Ricky Sahni , Mr. I. S. Sahni organized the first Garment Technology Expo in 2001 with resounding success, a feat he continued to repeat in 2003, 2004,2005 and also in 2006 by which time, the exhibition had acquired truly international dimension and reputation. Today, it is rated as the best Garment Technology Show in this part of the world, comprising South and South East Asia.
